Oh, this one’s going to be hard to let go of… I had SEW MUCH FUN bringing it to life (and giving it a whole new life)!

Designed to fit Large to 2XL, this piece was intentionally created with versatility in mind—there’s no structured closure, just a graceful front lap, making it an effortless, flattering fit for a wide variety of sizes.

Like many upcycle artists, I have built some anticipation for its release—or should I say "ADOPTION"! 🥰 Every one of my creations is like a child to me, born from my heart and hands, making this one extra special.

While all pieces have been pre-washed and are technically machine washable and dryable, I highly recommend hand washing and line drying. This piece is truly something special, and a little extra care will help preserve its beauty for years to come. 💙

FINISHED GARMENT MEASUREMENTS

This piece is designed without a structured closure, allowing it to lap naturally at the center front—how much it overlaps will depend on the wearer.

That said, I always like to provide helpful garment measurements! To give you a better idea of the fit, I modeled it myself with the gold zip sleeve sweater underneath (available at link below for purchase) at 39” bust, 43” hip, and 5'8.5" tall. My smaller friend who models it with bare arms and a yellow T is closer to a size 8.

Circumference at underarm: 42.5"

Back width 5" down, from flanged edge to flanged edge: 21"

Finished front edge to other front edge at hip: 64"

Finished front edge to other front edge with a sufficient 'lap', 56"

Length at center front from shoulder at neck to hem: 30.5"

Length at center back from base of neck to hem: 31" + 1.5" wide collar band

Length at side seams: 16" at shortes to 21.5" at longest

While the vest is my handmade creation, the shimmering zipper-accented top was a rare estate sale treasure that I couldn’t resist. To ensure a perfect match, I customized the neckline to complement the vest beautifully.
